Is Lingfei still hands-on?
Yes. At Homebot One, Lingfei designed KOKO's interaction, voice and screens hands-on, and prototypes in the real medium: voice tested out loud, robots in rooms, car flows in the car.
Why hire a founder as a designer?
Founders own the whole loop. Lingfei has run user interviews, sized markets, worked with engineers on tradeoffs and shipped hardware under real budgets. That makes design decisions faster and easier to defend in front of executives.
What kind of problems fit best?
